According to the International Energy Agency's World Energy Outlook 2024, global demand for electricity has grown at twice the rate of overall energy consumption over the past ten years.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Italy, according to Terna SpA, 6 GW of new renewable capacity was installed in the first ten months of 2024, bringing the total to about 707,000 installations with a total capacity of 11,783 MWh.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite this progress, the growth of renewable energy sources is still too slow to achieve climate neutrality targets by 2050.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Group is implementing <strong>increasingly sustainable practices and technologies<\/strong>: in 2021, our energy needs were 34.66% covered by renewable sources, 49.51% in 2022, 53.70% in 2023 and, finally, the <strong>62% in 2024<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adopting energy-efficient practices is essential to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable development.&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, 18 February, on International Energy Saving Day, it is crucial to reflect on the environmental impact of wasted energy.
