In recent years, the profound digital transformation has challenged the assumptions on which traditional IT security was based. Models built around well-defined perimeters and implicit trust in infrastructures are no longer adequate in a context of cloud, distributed environments and remote working.
In the new DFIR study we observe how more advanced infrastructures, such as the Deception Technologies and Moving Target Defence (MTD)are redefining the approach to IT security, moving from a reactive to an active security model. According to Gartner, by 2030 more than 50% of IT security spending will be on preventive solutions, including Deception and MTD.
Our analysis presents a technical and strategic roadmap for the adoption of these technologies, measurement indicators and a business case based on market data and industry standards to maximise return on investment (ROI), supported by sources such as MITRE Engage and Gartner.
