Established by the Council of Europe in 2006, the European Data Protection Day, also called Data Protection Daycelebrates the opening for signature of Convention 108, the first and only binding international treaty on data protection.
This anniversary was created to raise awareness among citizens, institutions and organisations of the value of the privacy and the need to protect the personal data in every sphere of daily life, principles that are also essential in our daily commitment to Defence, Space and National Security.
