Today our Defenders Natascia Kurek and Flaminia Sarnari are at the Milan Polytechnic to participate in the Information day dedicated to the IRIDE space programmeduring which representatives of European Space Agency (ESA), Italian Space Agency (ASI) and Copernicus User Forum to share objectives, progress and perspectives of the programme.
IRIDE is one of the most ambitious European Earth Observation projects, promoted by the Italian Government with the support of ESA and ASI. The system includes constellations of LEO satellites (Low Earth Orbit), ground-based operational infrastructure and advanced geospatial services.
This project involves a national chain of excellence and has a concrete impact on environmental monitoring, natural resource management, civil protection and satellite-based applications. It was an opportunity to meet students and participants, sharing the activities in which we are actively involved in the programme.
We would like to thank the Politecnico di Milano for the invitation and for promoting this day of insight and dialogue.
