There can no longer be an industrial development project that does not include an environmental sustainability programme.
Because of this, since last year Defence Tech has been engaging in a CO2 Reduction process (an action that falls under the broader ESG plan of Protecting the Planet) through four modes already set up:
- use Ricoh printers with Blue Angel certifications which prevent the dispersion of fine dust, thus reducing the CO2 produced. In addition, the new type of printer also leads to a reduction in the use of paper, as prints can only be made with the authorisation of a company badge or pin.
- partnership with Foorban for the use of organic cutlery, food and containers. This contractual agreement enables a reduction in the use of plastic in company premises and the sustainable recycling of items related to the food chain.
- recourse to state-of-the-art servers which reduce energy consumption by up to 30%.
- exclusive use of energy from renewable sources through an agreement with new energy supplier 100% green.
As a result of these measures, the share of renewable energy in the total energy consumed rose from 36.25% in 2021, to 49.18% in 2022 to 53% of 2023.
Often it is just a matter of taking the first step, because helping to protect the planet is possible, even without giving up.
Ready to bring and implement improvements in this and the coming years!
