We settled in Technopole of Rome Tiburtina in 2017, as an innovative start-up. Since then, our growth has run parallel to that of our host area: 72 hectares of parkland, dedicated to more than 150 hi-tech companies and 2500 people.
The pole, which will develop over the next two years thanks to the arrival of the Aruba data centre and the Thales Alenia plant, is working on the mobility to and from the main neighbouring urban hubs (such as the Tiburtina station itself).
To achieve this, a number of companies from the Technopole, including Defence Tech, took to the field. Together with Technopole director Gianluca Sammaritano, they met with Rome's Councillor for Urban Planning Maurizio Veloccia to discuss this very project and all preparatory activities for its realisation.
Making the Pole more accessible and contribute to improve the mobility of the areaare part of our Group's ESG plan, which aims to implement projects of common benefit, which not only affect us Defenders, but also the whole community.
In July, we conducted an internal survey, which showed that 75% of those working at Defence Tech would be interested in using shuttles to reach the offices.
Our Group has already taken action, contacting a number of transport companies to obtain quotes, with the ultimate aim of promoting sustainable mobility and reducing environmental impact.
