On 10 November we celebrate the International Day of Science for Peace and Developmentan important anniversary established by UNESCO in 2001. This day draws attention to the value of science not only as an engine of progress, but also as a pillar for tackling global challenges, promoting peace and supporting sustainable development.
The anniversary honours female scientists, institutions and all those who, through their daily commitment, work to expand our understanding of the world and protect the Planet.
It is an opportunity to reflect on how interconnected science is with our lives and to reaffirm the importance of scientific research as a tool for growth and international cooperation.
