In 2017, the UN established the World Bee Day to draw attention to the essential role of pollinators and their progressive decline, already highlighted by the report IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) of 2016.

Today, however, they are increasingly threatened by aspects such as climate change and human pressure. Protecting them therefore means preserving a fundamental natural balance for the future of the environment, but also for human activities.
