Yesterday our Defender Alessio Di SalvoSpace Business Unit Director of T-Defencetook part in the event Tor Vergata in Spacepromoted by theUniversity of Rome Tor Vergata which took place on 27th and 28th April at Villa Mondragone.
The initiative, organised by Centre for Space Biomedicine, from the Centre for Space Sustainability and from the inter-university centre MECSAhas brought together the academic world, national and European bodies such as ASI, ESA and the European Commission, along with key players in the sector, to discuss training, research and innovation in the space sector.
During the event, Alessio intervened in the round table discussion. "Training Space Professionals: Universities, Industry and Institutions in Dialogue", within the plenary session dedicated to Space Educationin a debate that focused on some of the sector's key challenges:
- the training gap
- the difficulty in finding qualified skills, even in the face of a decline in students in STEM disciplines;
- The need to strengthen collaboration between universities and industry.
