On 13 December, the state-of-the-art Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) satellite was launched, bringing with it technology that can predict lightning, storms and provide even more accurate weather analyses.
The new device, the result of collaboration between ESA, EUMETSAT and more than a hundred European industrial partners, also saw the work of some colleagues from Defence Tech (Jacopo Pampanini, Giacomo De Vico, Antonio Di Felice, Salvatore De Falco and Danilo Vigilante), who collaborated with Telespazio on LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) operations.
